The general paper consists of 100 MCQs in English and Tamil, covering the following subjects:

The main examination is a competitive examination. Candidates are ranked based on their marks in the main examination. The top 100 candidates in the main examination are called for a viva voce examination.
Viva Voce Examination
The viva voce examination is a face-to-face interview that is conducted to assess the candidate’s personality and communication skills. The viva voce examination is conducted in English and Tamil.

TNPSC AAO/AHO Eligibility Criteria 2024
The Eligibility Criteria for the TNPSC AAO/AHO Recruitment 2024 are as follows:
Age
The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the first day of the month in which the preliminary examination is held.

- Assistant Agricultural Officer (AAO):

- Ex-servicemen who have served for 10 years or more in the armed forces: 10 years
