North Eastern Railway Apprentice Online Form 2024 : North Eastern Railway Jobs 2024 :- The North Eastern Railway (NER) is one of the 18 railway zones of Indian Railways. It is headquartered in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The NER has a total of 1104 apprentice vacancies for the year 2023. The vacancies are available in various trades, such as:

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Divyang/Ex- Serviceman

The North Eastern Railway (NER) follows the reservation policy of the Government of India for the recruitment of apprentices. The reservation is as follows:

• Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27%
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10%
• Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 4%
• Ex-Servicemen and Wards of Ex-Servicemen: 3%

The reservation will be applicable to all the apprentice posts in the NER. The number of vacancies reserved for each category will be mentioned in the recruitment notification.

To avail of the reservation, the candidates must have the required caste/category certificate issued by the competent authority. The certificate must be valid as on the last date of submission of applications.

The NER also has a provision for relaxation of age limit for the reserved categories. The relaxation is as follows:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
