JNVST Class 9th Syllabus 2024 : JNVST Class 9th Exam Pattern 2024 :- JNVST stands for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test. It is a national level entrance examination conducted by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). JNVs are a system of residential schools established by the Government of India to provide quality education to talented children predominantly from rural areas.

Application Process for JNVST

• The application forms for JNVST are available online on the official website of NVS (navodaya.gov.in).
• The application process is usually open from June to August for Class VI and from September to November for Class IX.
• The Application fee is ₹200 for General/OBC candidates and ₹100 for SC/ST Candidates.

JNVST Class 9th Syllabus 2024 :

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has released the Class 9th exam schedule. Exam candidates must review the JNVST Class 9th Syllabus & Exam Pattern for 2024. 100 marks will be awarded for the JNVST Class 9 exam in 2024. The Exam will last 2.5 hours, per the NVS Class 9th exam format. The JNVST Class 9 Admission test will not be subject to negative marking.

There won’t be any negative marking per the JNVST Class 9th Exam Pattern 2024. The JNVST class 9 question paper will be available in Hindi and English. Eligibility criteria for JNV Class 9 2023:

Age:

• Candidates must be between 13 and 16 years old as of May 1, 2023.

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed Class VIII from a recognized school in the district where the JNV is located.

Residence:

• Candidates must be permanent residents of the district where the JNV is located.

Reservation:

• There is a reservation of 27% for OBC candidates, 15% for SC candidates, and 7½% for ST candidates.

Additional Criteria:

• Candidates must be physically fit and mentally sound.
• Candidates must be able to speak and understand English and Hindi.

Selection Process:

• Selection will be based on a written entrance test.
• The written test will consist of three sections: Mental Ability Test (MAT), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and English Language Test.

Eligibility Criteria for JNVST Class 9 for all categories of students:

Age:

• Candidates must be between 13 and 16 years old as of May 1 of the year of admission for which the Selection Test is conducted.

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed Class VIII from a Government/Government-recognized school in the district where the JNV is functioning and where admission is sought.

Residence:

• Candidates must be permanent residents of the district where the JNV is functioning and where admission is sought.

Physical Fitness:

• Candidates must be physically fit and mentally sound as per the prescribed standards of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

Language:

• Candidates must be able to speak and understand English and Hindi.

Additional Criteria:

• Candidates must not have been admitted to Class IX in any other school at the time of applying for JNVST.
• Candidates must not have crossed the prescribed age limit even after passing Class VIII.
• Candidates must not be suffering from any contagious or infectious disease.

Reservation Policy:

• There is a reservation of 27% for OBC candidates, 15% for SC candidates, and 7½% for ST candidates. Horizontal reservation of 4% for PWD candidates is applied within the 27% OBC reservation. The reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) is 10%.
