Efficiency Bar Exam Grade II Nursing Officer Results 2024 – (1st Term) :- The Efficiency Bar Examination (EBE) for Grade II Nursing Officers in the Nursing Services, Sri Lanka is scheduled to be held on the following dates:
- First Term: August 26, 2024
- Second Term: October 21, 2024
The EBE is a compulsory examination for all Grade II Nursing Officers who were promoted to that grade on or after January 1, 2016. Nursing officers who have completed an active service period of 6 years under Segment II (A) as at November 1, 2010 under the old Nursing Service Minute are exempted from the requirement of passing the EBE.
The EBE will be held in two parts:
- Part I: Nursing Care
- Part II: Professional Development
The questions in Part I will be on the following topics:
- Fundamentals of Nursing
- Medical-Surgical Nursing
- Maternal and Child Nursing
- Community Health Nursing
- Mental Health Nursing
- Tropical Nursing
The questions in Part II will be on the following topics:
- Professional Ethics
- Leadership and Management
- Research Methodology
- Health Policy and Planning
- Communication Skills
- Computer Applications in Nursing
The EBE will be a written examination, and the duration of the examination will be 3 hours. The pass mark for the EBE is 50%.
Nursing officers who fail the EBE will be given a grace period of one year to retake the examination. If they fail the EBE again, they will be reverted to their previous grade.

How to Download EBE Grade 2 Results 2024
The EBE Grade 2 Results for 2024 will be released on the Sri Lanka Nursing Council website on August 30th, 2024. To download the results, you will need to follow these steps:
- Go to the Sri Lanka Nursing Council website: https://www.slnc.lk
- Click on the “Efficiency Bar Examination” tab.
- Click on the “Results” link.
- Enter your registration number and date of birth.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
The results will be displayed on the screen. You can also download the results in PDF format by clicking on the “Download” button.
