Eligibility Criteria for CA Sri Lanka Examination

The Eligibility Criteria for sitting for the CA Sri Lanka examination are as follows:

  • Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
  • Must have passed the GCE Advanced Level Examination (or equivalent) with three simple passes in any stream at one sitting.
  • Must have completed a degree from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or any other university as approved by the Council of the Institute.
  • Must have paid the registration and renewal fees for the exam applying year.
  • Must have obtained exemption to Business Communication I (CS1) to be eligible to apply for the Business Level II subjects.
  • Must have passed or obtained exemption to all the Business Level I/II subjects.
  • Must have completed the relevant Corporate level subject of the same pillar.
  • Must have passed or obtained exemption to Business Information Technology (IT1) module.
  • Must have purchased and collected the study pack/s for the subject/s applied in the exam.
  • Must have completed Corporate Level professional experience – PEII (220 days), after being eligible for the Certified Business Accountant (CBA) Certificate.

There are also some exemptions available for certain qualifications. For example, CIMA members with over 3 years working experience can sit for the Strategic Level examination without completing the professional experience requirement. Full-time lecturers in Accounting and/or finance subjects, attached to approved universities, can also apply for the Strategic Level examination without completing the professional experience requirement.

The CA Sri Lanka Examination is divided into three levels:

The CA Sri Lanka examination is divided into three levels: Certificate Level 1 (CAB – I), Certificate Level 2 (CAB-II), and Strategic Level (SL). How to Check CA Sri Lanka Exam Results 2024

To check your CA Sri Lanka exam results for 2023, you can follow these steps:

  2. Click on the “Exam Results” tab.
