BGN is located in the capital city of Kathmandu. It has two main recruiting centers, one in Pokhara and one in Dharan. Recruits undergo a rigorous selection process, which includes physical and mental tests, as well as a background check. Those who are successful are trained at the British Army Training Centre in Catterick, England. After training, they are assigned to one of the four Gurkha Regiments in the British Army. Gurkhas can serve in the British Army for up to 25 years. After that, they are eligible to settle in the United Kingdom, along with their spouses and children. Many Gurkhas choose to do this, and there is now a large and thriving Gurkha community in the UK. BGN plays an important role in the relationship between the United Kingdom and Nepal. Phase 2 is a six-week phase that comprises a full day’s programme attended by successful Potential Recruits (PRs) from Phase 1. It is a combined British Army (BA) & Gurkha Contingent Singapore Police Force (GCSPF) Phase 2 (Initial Selection), which is held at British Gurkhas Pokhara.
PRs are scored and placed in an Order of Merit (OOM), which is published on an online call-forward list. The top-performing PRs are then invited to attend Phase 3 (Final Selection).
Phase 3 is a five-week phase that comprises a four-day programme attended by successful PRs from Phase 2 (Initial Selection). It acts as the final filter to select those suitable for service in the GCSPF and BA.

- BA: 05 to 27 January 2024

- To be eligible to register for the British Gurkhas Nepal Bharti Selection 2023, you must:

- Be physically and mentally fit
