www.army.mod.uk Phase 3 Initial Selection Result 2080-List | British Gurkhas Nepal Regional Call Forward List – BGN :- British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) is a unit of the British Army based in Nepal. It is responsible for the recruiting and selection of soldiers for the Brigade of Gurkhas, as well as providing welfare and administrative support to serving soldiers and families inside Nepal, and the British Gurkha Veteran community. BGN was established in 1947, following the independence of India and the partition of the British Indian Army. Six Gurkha regiments were transferred to the Indian Army, while four regiments were transferred to the British Army. Today, there are around 4,000 Gurkhas serving in the British Army. They are renowned for their courage, loyalty, and fighting skills. Gurkhas have fought in every major British military campaign since the Crimean War, and they have been awarded numerous Victoria Crosses, the highest award for gallantry in the British Army.
