The exam will be conducted in two parts:
Part 1: Written Exam The written exam will be objective type and will consist of questions from all the subjects mentioned above.
Part 2: Trade Test The trade test will be a practical test and will assess the candidate’s skills in the relevant trade.
The candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the trade test. The final selection will be based on the combined score of the written exam and the trade test.

The RRC Western Railway GDCE Technician Grade III & Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Exam Pattern 2024 is as follows:
Part 1: Written Exam
The written exam will be objective type and will consist of questions from all the subjects mentioned in the syllabus. The exam will be conducted in two shifts:
- Shift 1: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
The written exam will consist of the following sections:

Final Selection
The final selection will be based on the combined score of the written exam and the trade test. The candidates who score the highest in the combined score will be selected for the job.
