NYSC Senate List 2024 : Check NYSC Approved List Batch Wise Nigeria :- The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a program in Nigeria that requires graduates of universities and polytechnics to participate in a mandatory one-year service to the country. It was established in 1973 after the Nigerian Civil War with the aim of promoting national unity and reconstruction.
Here are some of the objectives of the NYSC program:

All Nigerian graduates under the age of 30 are required to participate in the NYSC program, with some exceptions. Graduates are posted to states outside their home state to broaden their understanding of the country and its people.
The NYSC Program Consists of three main components:
- Orientation camp: A three-week orientation camp where corps members are introduced to the NYSC program, Nigerian culture, and the state to which they are posted.
- Primary assignment: Corps members are assigned to places of primary assignment where they will work for the remaining 11 months of their service year. Placements can be in government ministries, schools, hospitals, or private companies.
- Community development service: Corps members are also expected to participate in community development service projects during their service year.
The NYSC program has been credited with promoting national unity and integration in Nigeria. It has also provided graduates with valuable work experience and skills. However, the program has also been criticized for being too rigid and for not doing enough to address the needs of the Nigerian economy.

NYSC Call Up Letter
Any Person Who Fails to Report For Service in the Service Corps as Directed in the Call Up Letter Service Corps as Directed in the Call Up Letter and / Or Refuses to Make Himself Available For Service in the Service Corps Shall be Prosecuted in line With the Provisions Of Section 13 Sub Section 1 (a) and (b) of the NYSC Act, Cap. N84, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
How to Check NYSC Senate List 2024
- Go to the portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/VerifySenateLists.aspx
- Verify Senate Lists Page Will be Shown
- Choose Institution
- Select Matriculation Number
- Provide Surname, Date Of Birth
- Click On Search
- Results Will be Display on Screen
- Check and Proceed to Verify Your Results
The NYSC Senate List isn’t directly available on the NYSC website, but you can check if your name is on the list through the NYSC Portal. Here’s how:
- Go to the National Youth Service Corps portal: https://portal.nysc.org.ng
- Click on “Verify Senate Lists or its equivalents“.
- Select your Institution from the dropdown menu.
- (Optional) You can also filter by Program (Degree, HND etc.) if needed.
- Click “Submit“.
This will display a list submitted by your university/institution containing names of graduates who are qualified for NYSC for a particular batch.
Important Notes:
- Senate Lists are typically submitted in batches (Batch A, Batch B, Batch C).
- If your name isn’t on the current list, it might be submitted in a later batch. Check with your university/institution for updates on when the next Senate List will be sent.
- There might be a delay between the university submitting the list and it being uploaded on the NYSC Portal.
