Nursing Board Exam (NLE) Schedule 2024 & Requirements :- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines has not yet announced the official schedule and requirements for the Nursing Board Exam (NLE) 2024. However, based on the previous year’s schedule, the NLE is usually held twice a year, in May and November. The application period for the May 2024 exam is expected to start in January 2024, while the application period for the November 2024 exam is expected to start in July 2024.

Here are the general requirements for the NLE:

  • Must be a Filipino citizen.
  • Must be of good moral character.
  • Must be a graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program from a school accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) or the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
  • Must have passed the General Aptitude Test (GAT) and the Mathematics Proficiency Test (MPT) of the UPCAT or its equivalent.

In addition to the general requirements, applicants must also submit the following documents:

    • Birth certificate from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
    • PSA Marriage Certificate/Contract (for married female applicants)
  • Transcript of Records with scanned picture and Remarks “For Board Examination Purposes”
  • Notarized Certificate of Undertaking signed by the Dean and the Registrar

Applicants who have taken the NLE before must submit the following documents:

  • Notice of Admission to the NLE
  • Official Rating Slip from the PRC

The PRC will release the official schedule and requirements for the NLE 2024 on their website. Applicants are advised to check the PRC website regularly for updates.

Nursing Board Exam 2024

What are the Qualifications ?

To Be Eligible to take the Nursing Board Exam (NLE) 2024, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • You must be a Filipino citizen.

How to Apply for NLE Online ?

To Apply for the NLE online, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the PRC Online Services website at http://online.prc.gov.ph/.
  2. Create an account or log in to your existing account.
  3. Click on the “Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS)” link.
  4. Select the “Application for Licensure Examination” option.
  5. Select the “Nursing Licensure Examination” from the list of exams.
  6. Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
  7. Fill out the online application form.
  8. Upload the required documents.
  9. Pay the application fee.
  10. Submit your application.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email. You will also need to print out a copy of your application form and bring it with you to the PRC office when you go to file your application in person.

What are the Requirements ?

Prepare your requirements as early as possible so you can apply early as well. According to the PRC website, you need these documents:

First-time takers

  • PSA/NSO Birth Certificate (original and photocopy).
  • For married female applicants, provide a copy of the PSA/NSO Marriage Contract.
  • Transcript of Records with scanned photo and remarks “For board exam purposes”
  • Duly Notarized copies of RLE, OR & DR cases (Minor Scrubs-3, Deliver Room Handled-3, Assisted-3, Cord Dressing-3, If under CMO 30- Certificate of Undertaking
  • Notarized Certificate of Undertaking (CMO#14 series of 2009)
  • Payment of 900 for complete while 450 for conditioned/ removal.

Re-takers

If you are a repeater, you need the exact requirement above except for the RLE and OR & DR Cases. The payment for the repeater is P450.

Nursing Board Exam Coverage

The Nursing Board Exam (NLE) in the Philippines is a comprehensive exam that covers the following major subjects:
