NECTA PSLE Standard 7 Results 2023 : NECTA Matokeo ya Darasa la saba 2023 :- The Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) is a national examination administered by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) to all primary school students in Tanzania at the end of their primary education. The examination is held once a year in May or June.
The objectives of PSLE are to:
- Assess learner’s skills and knowledge gained in the different subjects at primary school level;
- Assess learners understanding of the basic skills and abilities in reading, writing and arithmetic and the extent that they can use such skills in solving pertinent problems in life;
- Identify learners with the capacity to continue with secondary education and other training institutions.
The PSLE examination is a selection test which enables the government to select form one entrants for its schools. Students who get selected and those who are not, receive certificates.
The PSLE examination consists of seven subjects:
- Kiswahili
- English
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- Religious Education (Christian Religious Education and Islamic Religious Education)
The examination is conducted in two papers, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning paper consists of Kiswahili, English, Mathematics, and Science. The afternoon paper consists of Social Studies and Religious Education. The PSLE examination is a challenging test, but it is an important milestone for all primary school students in Tanzania.

NECTA STD Seven Results 2023 – 2024
The NECTA Standard Seven Results 2023 – 2024 have been released. The results can be accessed online at the NECTA website: necta.go.tz/psle_results.
To access the results, please follow these steps:
- Go to the NECTA website: https://necta.go.tz/psle_results
- Click on the “PSLE Results” link.
- Select your region and district.
- From the list of participating schools in your district, choose your school.
- The results for your selected school will be in PDF format. Look for your name in the list to view your Standard Seven Results 2023 (Std VII).
Please note that the results are still being processed and may not be available for all schools yet. If you cannot find your results, please try again later.
