Kerala PSC HSST History Exam Pattern 2024 : Anticipated, Notification PDF :- Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) conducts the Higher Secondary School Teacher (HSST) exam to recruit eligible candidates for teaching positions in Higher Secondary Schools in Kerala.
HSST Eligibility:
- A Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government.
- Those persons who have passed the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for the post of College Lecturers conducted by Government of Kerala are exempted from the State Eligibility Test for Higher Secondary School Teachers.
HSST Exam Pattern:
The HSST exam is conducted in two parts:
- Part I: Objective type questions covering General English, Mental Ability, and Pedagogy of Teaching.
- Part II: Descriptive type questions covering the specialized subject chosen by the candidate.

Eligibility:
- A Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher Secondary School Teachers conducted by the Government of Kerala or by the agency authorized by the State Government.
- Relaxation in upper age limit up to 43 years (as on 1st January 2021) will be allowed for qualified ministerial staff under the Higher Secondary Education Department for direct recruitment to the category of Higher Secondary School Teacher (As per G.O (P) No. 16/2020/GAD).
