IISER Aptitude Test Results 2024 Releasing on July 3rd at iiseradmission.in :- The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) are a group of autonomous institutions in India, established by the Ministry of Education (MoE) in 2006. The institutes are dedicated to providing high-quality scientific education and research at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in basic sciences.
There are currently seven IISERs located across India:
- IISER Pune
- IISER Kolkata
- IISER Mohali
- IISER Bhopal
- IISER Thiruvananthapuram
- IISER Tirupati
- IISER Berhampur
Each IISER offers a unique set of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the basic sciences. The institutes also conduct research in a wide range of areas, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and earth and environmental sciences.
The IISERs have been instrumental in promoting scientific education and research in India. They have produced a large number of talented scientists who have made significant contributions to various fields of science. The institutes have also played a key role in developing India’s scientific infrastructure.
IISER Aptitude Test 2024 :
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is an annual entrance test conducted in India for admission to seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. It is one of the three channels for admission to IISERs. The other two channels are the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced.
Eligibility for IAT
To be eligible for IAT, candidates must have:
- Completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology (PCB or PCM).
- Passed Class 10 from a recognized board with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
IAT Exam Pattern
The IAT is a computer-based test (CBT) that consists of 60 questions, 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. The total time for answering the test is 180 minutes. Questions are of multiple-choice type with only one correct answer. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks. Each incorrect answer leads to the deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions are awarded 0 marks. Therefore, the maximum marks in IAT are 240.
IAT Selection Process
Admission to IISERs through IAT is based on the rank obtained in the IAT. The rank list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the IAT. Candidates are allotted seats in IISERs based on their rank, preferences, and availability of seats.

The important dates for IAT 2024 are as follows:
- Date of Examination: June 17, 2024
- Time of Examination: 9:00 AM
- Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Declaration of Results: Expected in July 2024
IAT Preparation Tips

How to Check IISER Aptitude Test Results 2024
The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) results for 2024 are not yet available. The results are typically released in July or August of the year in which the exam is conducted. Once the results are released, candidates can check them by following these steps:

Click on the link “IAT Results” or “Check Results” on the homepage.

Enter your registered email address and password in the required fields.

Click on the “Submit” button.

Your IAT scorecard will be Displayed on the screen.
