Grama Niladhari Exam Result 2024 (2024) Released – Interview List Check Below :- The Grama Niladhari Examination is a competitive examination conducted by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, to recruit Grama Niladaris (Village Officers) to the Grade III of the Grama Niladhari Service. The examination is held annually and consists of two papers, a General Knowledge paper and a Special Knowledge paper.
The General Knowledge paper tests the candidate’s knowledge of a wide range of subjects, including:
- Sri Lankan history
- Sri Lankan geography
- Sri Lankan government and politics
- Sri Lankan law
- Sri Lankan economy
- International affairs
- General knowledge
The Special Knowledge paper tests the candidate’s knowledge of the following subjects:
- Sinhala language
- Tamil language
- English language
- Mathematics
- Science
- Agriculture
- Animal husbandry
- Public health
- Social welfare
The examination is held in Sinhala, Tamil, and English. The qualifying marks for the examination are 40% for the General Knowledge paper and 50% for the Special Knowledge paper.
Candidates who qualify for the examination are invited to an interview. The interview will assess the candidate’s communication skills, personality, and suitability for the position of Grama Niladhari.
Grama Niladaris are responsible for a variety of tasks at the village level, including:
- Maintaining the village register
- Collecting taxes
- Registering births, deaths, and marriages
- Providing information to the public
- Helping to resolve disputes
- Promoting community development
Grama Niladaris play an important role in the Sri Lankan government. They are the first point of contact for the public at the village level and are responsible for providing a variety of services to the community.
