Grade 5 Scholarship Awards Application 2024 – Employees’ Trust Fund Board (ETFB) :- Scholarship Awards to the children of the ETF Members who have passed the Grade 05 Scholarship Examination 2023 – Employees’ Trust Fund Board (ETFB)
The Employees’ Trust Fund Board has decided to grant 9000 Scholarships worth Fifteen Thousand Rupees (Rs. 15,000=) each to the children of the members of the Employees’ Trust Fund who have passed the Grade 05 Scholarships Examination 2023 having secured marks over the cut – off point.
Grade 5 Scholarship Awards Application 2024 – Employees’ Trust Fund Board (ETFB)
The Employees’ Trust Fund Board (ETFB) is a statutory body established under the ETF Act No. 46 of 1980 to provide social security benefits to employees in the private sector in Sri Lanka. It is responsible for managing the Employees’ Trust Fund, a compulsory contributory pension scheme for employees in Sri Lanka.
The ETFB was established on 1 March 1981 and is currently functioning under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization & National Policies. The Board is chaired by the Hon. Minister of Finance.
The ETFB has a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Collecting contributions from employers and employees
- Investing the contributions in a diversified portfolio of assets
- Paying benefits to members of the Fund, such as retirement benefits, death benefits, and disability benefits
- Providing information and services to members of the Fund
The ETFB is a vital part of the social security system in Sri Lanka and plays an important role in providing financial security to employees in the private sector.
