The Esala Perahera is a Buddhist Procession & Festival Featuring thousands of dancers, musicians, elephants and performers to honor the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha. The procession begins at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy and winds its way through the streets of the city. It is a spectacular event, full of color, music, and pageantry.
