Central Railway GDCE recruitment is a competitive process for selecting candidates for various Group D posts, such as Trackman, Porter, Gatekeeper, and Helper. The recruitment is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of Central Railway.

To be eligible for Central Railway GDCE recruitment, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be an Indian citizen
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
• Have passed Class 10 from a recognized board
• Meet the physical and medical fitness standards prescribed by the Railways

The Selection Process for Central Railway GDCE Recruitment consists of the following stages:

• Online application: Candidates must submit their online application through the RRC website.
• Computer-based test (CBT): Successful candidates will be shortlisted for the CBT, which is an objective-type test covering questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge.
• Document verification: Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be called for document verification.
• Medical examination: Candidates who clear document verification will be required to undergo a medical examination.

Final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the CBT and the medical examination.

Eligibility Criteria (Educational Qualification, Age limit, Relaxation in Upper Age limit, Experience)

The eligibility criteria for Central Railway GDCE recruitment 2023 are as follows:

Educational Qualification:

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
• ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Electrician / Wireman / Mechanic HT, LT Equipments and Cable Jointing / Electronics Mechanic (OR) Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.

Age Limit:

• 18 to 35 years as on 01.01.2024.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:

• 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
• 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
• 10 years for PwBD candidates.

Experience:

• Not required.
