Army Apprentice Recruitment 2024 : Station Workshop EME Delhi Cant Apprenticeship 2024 :- The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has invited applications for the recruitment of 50 ITI Apprentices at the Station Workshop EME, Delhi Cantt. The last date to apply is July 23th, 2024.

The following trades are available:

  • Mechanic Diesel
  • Mechanic Motor Cycle
  • Welder General
  • Welder TIG/MIG
  • Painter General
  • Mechanic Repair and Maintenance of Electronic Test Equipment
  • Carpenter
  • Fitter
  • Electrician
  • Electronics Mechanic
  • Mechanic Motor Vehicle

The candidates must have passed the ITI examination in the relevant trade with at least 50% marks. They must also be between the ages of 18 and 24 years as of July 1st, 2024.

The selection process will consist of a written examination and a trade test. The written examination will be held on August 13th, 2024. The qualified candidates will be called for a trade test.

The monthly stipend for the apprentices will be Rs. 6,000. The apprentices will also be entitled to other benefits such as medical facilities, uniform allowance, and hostel accommodation.

The application form can be downloaded from the website of the MoD or the Apprenticeship India portal. The filled in application form should be submitted online on or before July 23th, 2024.

Here are the steps on how to apply for the Army Apprentice 2024:

  1. Go to the website of the MoD or the Apprenticeship India portal.
  2. Click on the “Engagement of ITI Apprentice in EME Workshop, Delhi Cantt.” notification.
  3. Read the notification carefully and check your eligibility.
  4. Click on the “Apply Online” button.
  5. Create an account and fill in the application form.
  6. Upload the required documents.
  7. Pay the application fee.
  8. Submit the application form.

The application fee is Rs. 100 for general candidates and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Ministry of Defence Apprentice Stipend 2024

Stipend : Rs 13,500/ month for 2-year ITI certificate holders and Rs 12000/ month for 1-year ITI certificate holders.

Eligibility :-

ITI Trade candidates should possess ITI/NCVT/SCVT certificate of the above mentioned trades. Candidates should have passed ITI  exam in the year 2019 or afterwards. Those awaiting ITI results can also participate. Upper age limit of candidate is 26 years as on 31st Jun 2024.

10th Pass and ITI Pass in relevant Trade

Cut-Off Date for Exam 2024

The cut-off date for the Army Apprentice exam is August 13th, 2024. This is the last day that the candidates can appear for the exam. The exam will be held in various centers across India. The exact exam centers will be announced in the admit card, which will be released a few weeks before the exam.

The exam will be conducted in two parts:

  • Part I: This will be a written examination, which will test the candidates’ knowledge of general knowledge, aptitude, and technical subjects.
  • Part II: This will be a trade test, which will test the candidates’ practical skills in the relevant trade.

The candidates who qualify in both parts of the exam will be called for a medical examination. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written examination, trade test, and medical examination.

The admit card for the exam will be available on the website of the Indian Army. The candidates can download their admit card using their registration number and password.

The Exam will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of 100 questions. The questions will be of multiple choice type. The marking scheme for the exam is as follows:

  • Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

The minimum qualifying marks for the exam are 50%. The candidates who score 50% or more in the written examination will be called for a trade test.

The trade test will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of practical exercises. The marking scheme for the trade test is as follows:

  • Each correct exercise will be awarded 1st mark.
  • There will be no negative marking for incorrect exercises.

The candidates who score the highest marks in the written examination and trade test will be selected for the apprenticeship.
