A Level Grades 2024

There is no direct correlation between A Level grades and GCSE grades in 2023. This is because the grading systems for the two qualifications are different. A Levels are graded on a scale of A* to E, while GCSEs are graded on a scale of 9 to 1. The grade boundaries for A Levels are set each year, based on the performance of students in the exams. The grade boundaries for GCSEs are also set each year, but they are based on the performance of students in previous years.

This means that it is not possible to say for sure what A Level grade would correspond to a particular GCSE grade. However, there are some general trends that can be observed. For example, a student who achieves a grade 9 in GCSE English is likely to be able to achieve an A or A* in A Level English. Ultimately, the best way to predict what A Level grade you might achieve is to do well in your GCSEs and to continue to work hard in your A Level studies.
