Sri Lanka Grade 5 Scholarship Result 2023 Check Name wise Passers List :- The Grade 5 Scholarship is a national examination in Sri Lanka that is open to students in the 5th grade. The exam tests students’ knowledge in a variety of subjects, including Mathematics, Science, and English. Students who pass the exam are eligible to enter into a selective stream of Secondary Education, where they will have the opportunity to receive an advanced education and pursue higher-level academic and vocational studies. The scholarship is highly competitive, and only a small percentage of students who take the exam are able to pass and receive the scholarship.

Sri Lanka Grade 5 Scholarship Syllabus :- 

The Sri Lanka Grade 5 Scholarship Examination syllabus covers a variety of Subjects, including:

  • Mathematics: covers topics such as numbers, arithmetic operations, geometry, and data handling
  • Science: covers topics such as living and nonliving things, the human body, natural phenomena, and the environment
  • English: covers topics such as grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing
  • Sinhala/Tamil (depending on the medium of instruction of the candidate’s primary education): covers topics such as grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and composition
  • Religion (Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity)

Sri Lanka Grade Five Scholarship Exam Pattern :

The Sri Lanka Grade Five Scholarship Exam is typically divided into two Parts : The Written Examination and the Intelligence Test.

The Written Examination is Typically Divided into four Sections:

  • Mathematics: 50 multiple choice questions, carrying a total of 50 marks
  • Science: 50 multiple choice questions, carrying a total of 50 marks
  • English: 50 multiple choice questions, carrying a total of 50 marks
  • Sinhala/Tamil (depending on the medium of instruction of the candidate’s primary education): 50 multiple choice questions, carrying a total of 50 marks
  • Religion : 25 Multiple Choice Questions, Carrying a total of 25 marks

The Total Number of questions is 225 and the total Marks are 225.

The intelligence test is typically an additional test that assesses a student’s problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. The intelligence test is not graded, but students’ scores are used to rank them and select the scholarship recipients.

The Duration of the written examination is 3 hours and the examination is held annually in the month of December.

How to Check Grade 5 Scholarship Results 2023

The Results of the Sri Lanka Grade 5 Scholarship Examination are usually published by the Department of Examinations on their official website, usually within a month or two after the examination. The results can also be obtained from the respective schools or the Divisional Secretariats. The methods for checking the results are:

  1. Online: Students can check their results by visiting the official website of the Department of Examinations and searching for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination results. They will need to enter their examination registration number to view their results.
  2. SMS: Students can also check their results by sending an SMS to the Department of Examinations. The format for the SMS is usually “Exams <space> Index Number” and send to a specific number which is provided by the department.
