NIMCET 2023 Exam Date Out: National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur has released the NIMCET 2023 Exam Date and it is going to be conducted on 11th June 2023. The National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the NITs. This entrance exam is conducted every year for interested graduates to be offered admission into Masters in Computer Application (MCA)Programme in the participating NITs.
Candidates qualifying for the NIMCET 2023 exam with a good rank, will be allotted seats at various campuses of NITs on the basis of their ranks. Every year the number of applications received for the NIMCET exam is around 50,000 students whereas approximately 805 seats are offered in 11 NITs across India.

NIMCET 2023 Counselling
Candidates willing to Participate in the NIMCET 2023 Counselling process will have to apply online mode. The NIMCET 2023 Counselling is expected to be held on 29th June 2023. Seats will be allotted on the basis of the rank scored by the candidates, preferred choices filled by the candidates, and availability of seats.
Only those candidates who are successful in qualifying for the entrance exam will be permitted to fill in the choices of the institution where they are seeking admission. Candidates need to carry the below-listed documents with them for the counselling process.

NIMCET 2023 Qualifying Criteria
The score obtained by the candidates will be multiplied by certain factors. After multiplying such values, the maximum score that can be obtained by the candidate will be 1000. The table gives the multiplying factor for each subject.

- Candidates will be given ranks based on their total out of 1000.
- If the total score of the two candidates is the same, then the candidates will be given ranks based on their marks in Mathematics.
- If the score in Mathematics is also the same, then the other subjects are considered.
- If two candidates have scored equally in all the subjects, then based on their age (date of birth) candidates will be given ranks.
- Based on all these criteria, candidates will be ranked.
NIT MCA Seat Matrix 2023
There are a total of 951 seats available in all the participating National Institutes of Technology in NIMCET 2023. Candidates will have the option of enrolling into any of these institutions for MCA programs. The breakdown of the seat matrix is given below.
NIMCET 2023 Counselling and Seat Allotment
Shortlisted candidates can avail of the services of NIMCET 2023 counselling. They are listed based on the rank secured by them on the merit list. The release of the results will be done before the commencement of the counselling sessions.
Candidates awarded seats in the first and second rounds can book the seat allotted to them by paying an initial fee of INR 10,000. The seat allotment letter will be sent after the payment is done. An upgrade of seat option is available for students who wish to wait for the third and final round of NIMCET 2023 counselling process.
